Facets Of A Man

A brilliant mind
Filled with words and facts
Stood by others
Held out a helping hand
Smiled as people passed him by

A brilliant mind
Filled with lust and want
Succumbed to animal instinct
Held out invitations for one
Satisfied with the acts

A brilliant mind
Filled with sorrow and guilt
Waiting for the time to pass
Fingers all pointed with no proof
Silent and yet to separate fact from fiction

Point your fingers
Point them at a man
Once roaming the streets
Known as a friend of yours
And yet you shun him now

You shun him and shun him still
How can a man be such a genius and yet a savage
Little do you know
You speak your mind openly
Because he’s guilty by a jury

Learn to forgive
Learn to give a chance
Not because of innocence
But because you are the greater person
You stop being hypocritical
